Screen sections on side-tensioned decks usually have the hooks up. The only exception to this is a split deck, where hooks can be one hook up and one hook down.
The tensioning dimension is measured "Outside The Hook" and the screen sections are usually tensioned over a crowned deck. Always make sure that the bar-rail liners are in good shape - for best performance and long life of your screen sections. |

Screen sections on end-tensioned decks usually have the hooks down. The tensioning dimension is measured "Inside The Hook".
For certain types of screen decks a heavy-duty hook might be required to accommodate the clamping bar of the machine.
See the section about End-tension Hook Types for details. |
