Effective July 1, 2011:
Chris Clarke will be named Industrial Group Sales Manager. Chris’s responsibilities will include growing the Engineered Product/Filtration, Industrial Wire and new technologies (CPA Particle Analyzer and Ultrasonic Screen Systems). The current Field Sales Team will report to Chris. Chris will report directly to Randy Bakeberg, President, W.S. Tyler.
Jeff Pope will become Product Manager, Engineered Products. This is one of the first moves in transitioning the Service, Sales and Engineering of our Filtration Products. Jeff will be responsible for all commercial activities, including quoting, order review, customer response, expediting, etc. Jeff will coordinate all customer requirements with the engineering staff and will report directly to Chris Clarke.
Candace Blaker will assume the title of Product Manager, Sieving Products. This will be in addition to her current position, Manager, Customer Service. Candace’s new responsibilities will include coordination of all activities regarding Test Sieves, Shakers and accessories. Candace’s focus will be to provide high quality, reasonable priced products, with competitive deliveries to our Distribution Partners. Candace will continue to report to Tony Bandera.

Dave, who started with W.S. Tyler in 1976, brings his 35 years of experience with Tyler/Tylinter to newly formed Haver, Inc. of the Haver Group. Because of Dave’s strong background in wire, strong customer service skills and his knowledge of the overall flow of operations at W.S. Tyler made him the natural choice as the key inside support person for Haver, Inc.
Dave had already been sharing his responsibilities between W.S. Tyler and Haver, Inc. on a part-time basis since Haver, Inc. was launched in 2009. To this point, Dave along with the ongoing help and support of W.S Tyler’s administrative staff has been managing the orders and overseeing the internal operations of Haver, Inc. His additional responsibilities will now include increased interaction with customers, gaining more in-depth knowledge of the product lines, and coordinating inside sales.

MENTOR, OHIO - W. S. Tyler now performs examinations to certify that Test Sieves conform to the new ASTM E 11 Standard for Inspection and Calibration Grades. W.S. Tyler’s Optical Analyzer is calibrated, ensuring the measurements are directly traceable to N.I.S.T., on a bi-annual basis.
Certification documents that include detailed histograms are supplied with both new and in-use test sieves.
The Calibration Grade Certification process examines twice the number of apertures in a sieve than the Inspection Grade, and offers 99.73% assurance of accuracy.
W.S. Tyler also examines and Certifies metric sieve cloth openings to ISO 3310-1 Standard.

Mentor, Ohio— When ceiling panels that provide aesthetics and functionality were needed for the NYU Stern School of Business building project, architect Anne Kojima from Perkins + Will chose Dogla-Trio Architectural Design Wire Mesh, manufactured and supplied by W.S. Tyler.

The architects of the new museum store at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona, wanted to create a design that would emulate the dynamic quality of flight. The opportunity to express “flight” came through the design of the exterior canopy, utilized for sun shading of the full height glazed window walls of the building. They looked at a number of different materials to use for shading and ultimately chose W.S. The walls in the home’s art studio are large and wide enough to accommodate irregularly sized canvases.

W.S. Tyler Contributes to Unique Building Facade for LAPD
The recent completion of the new Los Angeles Police Department Headquarters’ parking structure features a unique facade that is made with stainless steel woven wire mesh supplied by W.S. Tyler.
The stainless steel woven wire mesh was smartly used to “veil” the parking structure. A series of undulating panels, with a custom colorful leaf pattern, were designed to enhance the surrounding neighborhood.
The intent of the architect, JFAK Architects, was to “allow the building to breathe, provide security, and contribute to the transformation of the area as a home to the arts.” The facade was installed by Metallon Specialties, Inc.
W. S. Tyler, a leading manufacturer of Architectural Woven Wire Mesh, provided assistance for the project from the design stages to final installation.

New Software Simplifies the Test Sieving Process
Mentor, Ohio—W. S. Tyler is pleased to introduce their NEW Tyler Sieving Software 3.0. The software, which will be available in January, 2010, is designed as a fast and convenient tool to record, print, and save data from a traditional test sieve analysis.
The user-friendly spreadsheet format allows the user to personalize the files and detail each sieve test. The technician must enter the sieve series required, and then the sample weight retained on each sieve following the test run. The software will perform the rest of the calculations and create statistical and graphical displays for analysis.
Tyler Sieving Software 3.0 will simplify the test sieving process and is affordably priced.
