Custom Metallic Filtration
W. S. Tyler specializes in design, service, consultation and fabrication of custom metallic filters
for prototypes and small production requirements. These products are constructed in stainless steel, Hastelloy, and other metallic filter mesh and/or metal sintered laminates. They allow
migration-free filtration from 1 to 200 micron.
Filter grade woven wire cloth is available in several twill designs to meet specific filtration application requirements. On-site design and fabrication provide a truly custom response to customer special needs.

Porostar Filter Laminates
In alliance with parent company Haver & Boecker, Oelde, Germany, W.S. Tyler manufactures, engineers, sells, and services Porostar Filtration Media.
Porostar is a woven wire cloth laminate. Industrial wire cloth pieces are sinter–bonded together
to create a multi-layer porous filter plate. W.S. Tyler / Haver uses a duo sinter technique which insures complete wire-to-wire bonding. Porostar can be designed to specific characteristics, including pore size, pore distribution, porosity, and permeability. Pressure drop is comparable
with other media designs.
Laminate sheets can be fabricated into many designs with a variety of end-cap options. For example, Clean in Place (CIP) cartridges, in-line filter / strainers, baskets, plates and other
custom requirements.
Specifications begin at 2 layer and filtration plates up to 20+ layers are available. Migration free filtration ranges from 200 to less than 1 micron particulates. Contact Us
The Sintered Laminate Filter Plate design has successfully replaced the traditional wedge-wire / wire mesh filter in many applications including Pressure Vessel Filtration plates.
Porostar Hyperflo is a unique design for applications requiring increased open area,
increased flow, and lower pressure drop. Hyperflo is primarily used in low pressure

Porostar is available in Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, Hastalloy and other special corrosion resistant, high temperature alloys. Engineering services include both new applications and retrofits.
Extruder Screens
W.S. Tyler designs and manufactures woven wire cloth screens, or metal mesh fabric, for the
melt filtration process.
Our premium high-quality screens are precise fitting and optimize the cost-to-performance comparison.
W.S. Tyler offers basic round, kidney and square shapes. Configurations include single and
multi layer, raw edge or rim bound, and custom spot welding. Micron retention ranges from
