Tyler offers Porostar®, a sintered, multi-layered woven wire cloth laminate that has a filtration range of less than 1 to 200 microns. Porostar® Filter plates and elements are engineered to customer specifications for durability and a long wear life. Manufactured in sheets of stainless steel and other special corrosion resistant alloys. Modern welding and forming techniques are used to combine these sheets into desired constructions, such as clean-in-place filter elements, filter plates, filter candles and pleated elements.

W.S. Tyler’s unique DUO-SINTER manufacturing technique uses a sintering process and two thermal treatments. The result is a migration-free filter plate that has a predetermined pore size, pore distribution and permeability under most operating conditions.

Four different configurations of Porostar® filter media are engineered for new and retrofit applications and in low or high-pressure environments. Typical applications include filtration and chemical processing in pressure vessels and filter dryers.
